Her stories
Annie M.G. Schmidt wrote some of the best-loved stories in the Dutch language, and four of them are on Arabic Toons: Tow-Truck Pluck, the boy with a red tow truck who moves into a tower room; The Flying Liftboy, whose lift flies out of the roof of a department store; Help! I’ve Shrunk the Family, the story of the little man Wiplala; and My Giraffe, from her famous poem about a boy and a giraffe.
Where to start
Begin with Tow-Truck Pluck for younger children and The Flying Liftboy for children of eight and up.
